Question 1: Give five examples of data that you can collect from your day-to-day life.Answer: Five examples of data which you can collect from your day-to-day life are:
i) Number of students in a class.
ii) Literacy rate figures of different areas of a country.
iii) Number of cars travelling on a road in an hour.
iv) Number of trees in a locality.
v) The average temperature (according to weather reports).
Question 2: Classify the data in Q.1 above as primary or secondary data.
Answer: i), ii), iii) and iv) are primary data as it is directly obtained by the investigator himself/herself while v) is secondary data as it was obtained from a source (weather reports).
