Drafting an Advertisement
An advertisement is something in words or visuals that is presented to the public to make them aware of some product, job, service, scheme etc.
The purpose of advertisement can be to inform, to make an announcement, or to convince consumers to buy a product. An advertisement can be only in words, or in combination of pictures and words, as it appears in newspapers and magazines. It can be of any size.
An advertisement should have the following features.
• The advertiser’s name
• Address
• Display advertisements (posters etc.). Must have an attractive layout, pictures, and catchy slogans.
• Classified advertisements must be very brief with only essential information given and avoid sentences as far as possible.
