Question 1: What kind of teachers did Margie and Tommy have?
Answer: Margie and Tommy had mechanical teachers. They were robotic and understood only the punch code, designed especially for them to evaluate the children’s test papers and correct their homework on a regular basis.
Question 2: Why did Margie’s mother set for the County Inspector?
Answer: Margie had been scoring less in her Geography tests and the marks were deteriorating test after test. Her mother, Mrs. Jones, was worried about her academic performance and hence sent for the County Inspector to have a look into the issue and do the needful.
Question 3: What did he do?
Answer: The County Inspector, a round and cheerful man; came to check on the Geography Sector that was the cause of concern to Mrs. Jones. On his arrival, the County Inspector gave Margie an apple and flashed a warm smile at her. He took the teacher apart and set the sector to Margie’s level of understanding. He informed Mrs. Jones that Margie’s progress was satisfactory.
Question 4: Why was Margie doing badly in Geography? What did the County Inspector do to help her?
Answer: Margie’s mother observed that her daughter wasn’t performing well in Geography. She was apprehensive about it and finally sent for the County Inspector. The inspector, who was an amiable gentlemen rectified the issue. He informed Mrs. Jones that Geography sector was higher in standard compared to Margie’s age. He assured her that Margie was doing perfectly well in Geography.
Question 5: What had once happened to Tommy’s teacher?
Answer: Tommy’s History sector once malfunctioned and the teacher had to be taken away for repair. The teacher was returned in perfect condition after a month’s time.
Question 6: Did Margie have regular days and hours for school? If so why?
Answer: Yes, Margie had regular days and hours for school. Her schoolroom was located next to her bedroom. Her school was always on at the same time every day except Saturday and Sunday, because Margie’s mother said that little girls learned better if they learned at regular hours.
Question 7: How does Tommy describe the old kind of school and its teachers?
Answer: Tommy described the old kind of school that existed a hundred and hundreds of years ago. They had a teacher but it wasn’t a regular teacher, it was a man. He told boys and girls things and gave them homework and asked them questions. School was a special building where all the kids went and learned the same thing if they were of same age.
