Chapter 1 Food: Where Does it Come From?

Question 1: Do you find that all living beings need the same kind of food?
Answer:
No, all living beings do not need the same kind of food. Some animals eat only plants as food and they are herbivores. Some animals eat other animals, and they are carnivores. Some others eat food from plant sources as well as animals, and are omnivores.

Question 2: Name five plants and their parts that we eat.
Answer:

Brinjal - Fruit
Groundnut - Seed
Potato - Stem
Spinach - Leaves
Beetroot - Roots
